Back in January of 2016 The NH Bacon and Beer Festival’s website had quietly posted their date for the 2017 Festival to be held on May 20th. This is a festival That I have not been able to attend, usually because: “Other” family things have been going at the same time. I subscribed to their facebook page as well and thus it reminded myself that I had yet to post anything about it.
The NH Bacon & Beer Festival, sets a day to celebrate the greasy, fatty, savory goodness, of bacon alongside the endless possibilities of flavors that have come to define a well crafted beer and/or beers. The festival will offer attendees the chance to sample delicious dishes of bacon prepared by local area chefs and restaurants. These delectables will be paired alongside fresh local beers and the brewers.
Now, this festival is “Near and dear to my heart” as it does all the above goodness for charity. and the charity it sponsors is one that my mother is a past-president of. Thus, I get really excited about, and want this charity to do well as I have seen it do such great and wonderfull things for terminally ill NH children. That Charity is: The High Hopes Foundation of New Hampshire.
The High Hopes Foundation of New Hampshire, Inc. is a volunteer-based, non-profit, 501 (c)(3) charitable organization. Headquartered in New Hampshire, the foundation gets its energy from a small 8-member Board of Directors, an ever-growing team of members, and its volunteers. Everyone is dedicated to making the dreams of New Hampshire’s seriously or chronically ill children become a reality.
Founded in 1983 the charity has granted well over 500+ dreams and wishes to NH chronically ill children. They have sponsored many events to raise money for these wishes and the NH Bacon and Beer Festival is one of the latest additions to raise money for this noble cause.
So be sure to put this date in your calendar and enjoy Beer from local breweries, Bacon ifused food from local chefs and resturaunts, and help out a great cause at the same time.
